Utah Fits All Scholarship Deadline: Every Date You Need for 2026–2027
Missing the Utah Fits All application window by a single day means waiting an entire year while other families receive $4,000 to $8,000 per child. The program runs on a strict annual calendar, and the deadlines are not flexible.
When Applications Open and Close
The renewal window for existing scholarship recipients opens on March 1 each year. New applicants can submit their applications starting April 1. Both windows close on April 30 (some official sources reference May 1 as the cutoff — treat April 30 as the safe deadline).
Applications are submitted through the Odyssey digital platform, the program's current administrator. You'll need to upload proof of your child's age, Utah residency documentation, and income verification if you want priority placement.
The Award and Acceptance Timeline
By May 31, the program manager must send award notifications to families. This same date is also the deadline for renewing students to submit their portfolio or standardized test results from the current year.
Once you receive an award offer, you must formally accept or decline it before July 1. If you don't respond by the deadline, the offer is forfeited and your spot goes to the next family on the waitlist.
The scholarship year officially begins on July 1, and the first disbursement hits your digital wallet account by July 31.

What Happens if You Miss the Window
If total applications exceed available funding, awards are distributed by priority tier — renewing recipients first, then siblings of students with a current account or one in the immediately preceding school year, then eligible low- and middle-income or partial-award applicants, then other applicants. Missing the renewal window means the student does not qualify for Tier 1 renewal priority; a later application is assessed under the applicable new-applicant priority tier.
Mid-year openings do occur when families exit the program and return their unused funds. Awards granted mid-year are prorated: 75% in the second quarter, 50% in the third, and 25% in the fourth.
