Arkansas EFA Disbursement Dates: When ClassWallet Funds Hit Your Account
EFA funds don't arrive in one lump sum. The state deposits them into your ClassWallet account in four equal quarterly installments across the school year. If you've been approved and you're staring at a $0 balance wondering when the money shows up, here's the schedule.
2025–26 Disbursement Schedule
For the 2025–26 school year, deposits hit ClassWallet on these dates:
| Quarter | Deposit Date | Amount (Standard) |
|---|---|---|
| Q1 | August 21 | $1,716 |
| Q2 | October 28 | $1,716 |
| Q3 | February 3 | $1,716 |
| Q4 | April 14 | $1,716 |
The standard award for 2025–26 is $6,864 per student ($1,716 per quarter).
2026–27 Award and Schedule
The 2026–27 standard award increased to $7,208 per student, which breaks down to $1,802 per quarter. Former Succeed Scholarship recipients receive $8,162 ($2,040.50 per quarter) — they get 100% of the prior year's foundation funding instead of the standard 90%.
For 2026–27, the quarterly deposit dates are August 20, October 29, February 4, and April 8.
How the Award Is Calculated
The formula is straightforward: 90% of the prior year's statewide per-student public school foundation funding. When foundation funding increases (which it has each year), the EFA award increases with it.
Homeschool participants receive the exact same base amount as private school participants. There's no discount or different formula based on educational setting.

What Happens with Mid-Year Enrollment
If you're approved during a mid-year entry window, your annual award is prorated based on the remaining full quarters. Apply in November after Q1 has already been disbursed, and you'll receive three quarters' worth of funding rather than four.
When the Money Is Late
The deposit dates are set by ADE's fiscal calendar, and they're generally reliable. If your ClassWallet balance hasn't updated within a few days of an expected deposit, check that your EFA contract is fully executed and that there are no outstanding compliance issues on your account. Contact the Office of School Choice at 501-683-1876 or [email protected] if the balance doesn't update.
Single-income families who need to front curriculum purchases before Q1 arrives should consider using ClassWallet's marketplace or direct-pay vendors once funds land — those methods avoid the out-of-pocket reimbursement wait entirely.
The Arkansas EFA Parent Guide includes a complete deadline calendar covering application windows, disbursement dates, renewal periods, and testing deadlines so nothing catches you off guard.
